Assalamualaikum,

Hari ni, aku nak jawab soalan je. Aku dah kumpulkan soalan-soalan mudah berkaitan dengan subjek element-element data warehousing. Semua soalan termasuklah, "pass year question" dan soalan yang aku sendiri reka.

1. Briefly explain the term “data warehouse”? 

2. The Relational Model has four familiar term associated to it and they are :
        i) Relation
        ii) Attribute
        iii) Domain
        iv) Row.
    Explain each one of them.

3. Briefly, explain the term “fact table” and two main functions of a “fact table”.

4. Where Data Warehousing is concern, extraction plays an important element in it.
    Elaborate the key issues related to extraction.

5. Explain the term “hierarchical model”.

6. In the issue of Data Warehousing, explain in your own words the term “Data Staging”. 

7. The data staging tool in Microsoft SQL Server is known as Data Transformation Services   
    (DTS). Elaborate on the four (4) elements contained in the DTS package.

8. Define in detail the term “data cleansing”.

9. Elaborate in detail why “data cleansing” need to be implemented in the transformation stage.

10. OLAP Tools provide many end-user features such as “Drill Down” and “Slice-n-Dice”.  
      Elaborate these features in detail.

11. Application such as PowerPlay, Hyperion and similar OLAP products offer many features for 
      data exploration, Explain any 5 ( five ) features in it.
